They can run your information and see whether or not there is a warrant for your arrest.  However, be warned, if there is a warrant for your arrest the officer will be obligated to arrest you and bring you in. Two, you could call the courthouse.  By providing your information they will be able to look up whether or not there is a warrant for your arrest. And if there is you will be able to put your affairs into order and not be arrested on the spot.  Third, you can look into your local county courthouse or police website. Some websites keep outstanding warrants listed either under warrants or records. Some even give you the ability to search by name.
